- provide strong leadership and ensure the smooth operation of our children's home
- maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards
- foster a caring and supportive environment, nurturing the emotional, social, and educational development of each child
- recruit, train, and motivate a dedicated team of staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work culture
- collaborate with external agencies, including social workers and healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated care and support for the children
- conduct regular assessments and reviews, addressing individual needs and implementing tailored interventions to promote growth and progress
- implement robust safeguarding procedures to ensure the safety and protection of all children in our home
- manage resources effectively, ensuring the provision of a stimulating and engaging environment for the children
Requirements
- previous experience in a managerial or deputy role within an OFSTED registered home is a MUST
- strong understanding of child welfare and safeguarding practices, with knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
- excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and empower a team
- effective communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling positive engagement with children, families, and external stakeholders
- A genuine passion for working with children, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and a commitment to their well-being
- strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions
