Requirements

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualification
  • practice-qualified Accountant with several years’ PQE
  • experience of preparation financial statements under IFRS / FRS101
  • experience of auditor liaison
  • knowledge of finance requirements and controls, paired with strong risk awareness
  • in-depth knowledge of, and commitment to maintaining, professional standards
  • excellent organisational skills, with ability to work autonomously and accurately whilst under pressure
  • internal & External Audit: 4 years

Responsibility

  • prepare statutory financial statements ensuring the required disclosures are identified and produced in a robust manner
  • manage the year end external audit process , ensuring a smooth, timely process
  • liaise with other departments to create a coherent suite of filings with key messages assembled well ahead of filing deadlines
  • provide the wider team with technical accounting support when required
  • drive improvements in systems and processes
  • proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses
  • ensure the group reports timely on mandatory external reporting e.g., Pay Gender reporting, Payment Practice reporting
  • managing the organisation and coaching of the Audit team including 1:1’s performance reviews and Personal Development plans
