Requirements
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualification
- practice-qualified Accountant with several years’ PQE
- experience of preparation financial statements under IFRS / FRS101
- experience of auditor liaison
- knowledge of finance requirements and controls, paired with strong risk awareness
- in-depth knowledge of, and commitment to maintaining, professional standards
- excellent organisational skills, with ability to work autonomously and accurately whilst under pressure
- internal & External Audit: 4 years
Responsibility
- prepare statutory financial statements ensuring the required disclosures are identified and produced in a robust manner
- manage the year end external audit process , ensuring a smooth, timely process
- liaise with other departments to create a coherent suite of filings with key messages assembled well ahead of filing deadlines
- provide the wider team with technical accounting support when required
- drive improvements in systems and processes
- proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses
- ensure the group reports timely on mandatory external reporting e.g., Pay Gender reporting, Payment Practice reporting
- managing the organisation and coaching of the Audit team including 1:1’s performance reviews and Personal Development plans
