Responsibility

  • reception is the first point of contact for patients attending the Urgent Treatment Centre
  • to meet and greet patients at main reception
  • the receptionist will record demographics and other mandatory information, which will include clinical details on the joint computer system
  • sign-post patients to the correct department or clinical person
  • maintain prescriptions in an alphabetical order and ensure Pharmacies collection drivers follow practice protocol
  • this will involve welcoming new patients into the service and providing support and guidance on our new ED Streamer check-in system
  • scan letters and incoming information regarding Bloomfield Medical patients onto the relevant record
  • undertake searches for any missing notes
