we are recruiting for an experienced HR professional who is passionate about talent, culture, and inclusive engagement practises to join BCUSU as our People & Culture Manager
you’ll be leading a small but effective team and will be responsible for leading the development of people initiatives and creating a positive culture for all staff members at BCUSU
with a focus on inspiring high performance yet in an environment that has wellbeing, diversity, inclusivity, and positive staff engagement at its core
experience in supporting managers handling employee relations matters is essential, along with a focus on HR policy development and delivery of the People Strategy priorities
all BCUSU staff play a role in student engagement and participating in delivering the wider mission and vision of the Students’ Union is essential
c. Develop and review the people and culture database and personnel files to ensure they are up to date and comply with any legal or data protection policies
Requirements
an experienced HR professional who is passionate about, talent, culture and inclusive engagement practices within a changing organisation - essential
demonstrable experience of identifying and delivering people initiatives that have improved business performance and/or people engagement - essential
experience in advising managers regarding employment law and employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance and managing absence - essential
experienced people manager who achieves results by motivating and influencing - essential
knowledge of Health and Safety issues – Duty of Care principles and risk management - essential
experience of devising, delivering and evaluating training using contemporary training and development practices - essential
