Requirements
- NEBOSH Diploma
- at least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role or industry
- excellent knowledge of safety regulations and standards
- strong communication and motivational skills
- excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programs
- experience with ISO 9001 is desirable
Responsibility
- collaborate/Engage with other departments, such as HR, Operations, and Engineering, to ensure a culture of safety throughout the organisation
- develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements
- work with departmental managers to effectively implement safety standards and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, and develop corrective actions as necessary
- investigate incidents, accidents and near misses and develop plans to prevent re-occurrence
- chair H&S committee meetings and ensure agreed actions and objectives are implemented
- oversee H&S training to employees and contractors on safe work practices and procedures
- implement strategies to minimise and manage risks associated with workplace injuries, hazards and unsafe practices
