Responsibility
- we are currently seeking compassionate and empathetic individuals to join our team as Support Workers/Travel Escorts
- provide person-centred support to individuals, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being
- support individuals with their daily activities, which may also include meal preparation and household tasks
- provide a safe and supportive environment, whilst maintaining a positive atmosphere that encourages personal growth and development
- accompany and provide travel assistance to individuals during outings, appointments, and recreational activities, always ensuring their comfort and safety
- follow their individualized care plans and support strategies, respecting the unique needs and preferences of each individual
- engage in effective communication with individuals, their families, and the wider care team, ensuring information is shared accurately and promptly
- monitor and report any changes in individuals' physical or emotional well-being, promptly escalating any concerns to the appropriate channels
Requirements
- previous experience working with individuals with autism and/or learning disabilities is desirable
- A caring and empathetic nature, with a genuine passion for supporting others
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with individuals and their families
- strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, while also demonstrating initiative and problem-solving abilities
- flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of the individuals and the organization
- willingness to undergo relevant background checks and provide necessary references
