Responsibility
- ensure strict conformance to all H&S procedures
- bernard Matthews are recruiting a Production Manager to support the senior management team to ensure a constant, smooth, safe and efficient factory operation in order to deliver the production plan within agreed budgetary and service levels
- deputise for Factory Manager as and when required
- supervise the FLM’s, giving direction, motivating, coaching and counselling as necessary to encourage them to achieve their performance targets
- management of people’s conduct, performance and attendance to achieve the required production targets
- liaise with the Operations Manager to ensure planned volumes are sufficient and achievable, on both a daily and weekly basis, and schedule the work of the department
- both directly, and via the FLM’s, ensure that sufficient raw material and packaging is available, both short term and mid term, and that all equipment is in safe working order
- both directly, and via the FLM’s, ensure that training plans are formulated and implemented for all employees
