Responsibility

  • collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop control strategies that align with production goals
  • program, test, and troubleshoot control systems to optimize performance and identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions
  • conduct thorough system integration and commissioning of control systems, ensuring seamless operation and adherence to safety regulations
  • implement and maintain documentation, including control schematics, functional specifications, and user manuals
  • provide technical support and training to operational teams to ensure smooth system operation and effective utilization of control systems
  • perform regular system maintenance, diagnostics, and updates to ensure continuous functionality and uptime
  • develop and design control systems, including PLCs , HMIs , and SCADA systems
  • contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, striving to optimize processes and enhance productivity

Requirements

  • HNC/HND or degree qualified in an engineering or computer science-based subject
  • proficiency in programming PLCs and familiarity with HMI/SCADA software
  • sound knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and Profibus
  • ability to read and interpret electrical and control schematics
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • excellent communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams and articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • capacity to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines
  • proven experience as a Controls Engineer or a related role, with a strong background in industrial automation and control systems design
