plan, organize, and coordinate a variety of activities and events for residents in a care facility
develop and implement activity programs that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being
assess residents' interests, needs, and abilities to create personalized activity plans
lead group activities such as exercise classes, arts and crafts, games, and social events
coordinate outings and trips for residents to local attractions or community events
collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of activities
maintain records of resident participation and evaluate the effectiveness of programs

Requirements
previous experience working in a similar role in a care facility or related field is preferred
DBS check - This will be covered by the employer after successful completion of training
knowledge of therapeutic recreation principles and techniques is a plus
day shift patterns are 8am – 2pm 2pm - 8pm
strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members
some flexibility to do overtime when required
ability to plan and organize activities that cater to a diverse group of individuals with varying abilities and interests
understanding of the unique needs of elderly individuals or those with disabilities
