the role
the Technical Manager is responsible for the management of all technical and pedagogical requirement within the broad area of technical management
you will undertake the teaching of all aspects of technical management and stagecraft on various RADA courses including the first year introductory stagecraft teaching rotation
this role requires a committed, self-motivated person who works well in a team and can lead diplomatically and confidently
the candidate should have excellent scheduling, negotiation skills, both written and verbal
together with RADA’s Head of Production, you will oversee the fit-ups , technical rehearsals and get-outs of RADA productions and events across the venues, ensuring the highest standards of professional behaviour and housekeeping
the successful candidate will have wide technical theatre experience at repertory level and above with experience of small and mid-scale productions
you will work alongside the Head of Production to ensure that all technical paperwork and equipment is in place and up-to-date, as well as ensuring the teaching practice remains up-to-date and in-line with industry and RADA’s expectations
