Responsibility
- the role
- the Technical Manager is responsible for the management of all technical and pedagogical requirement within the broad area of technical management
- you will undertake the teaching of all aspects of technical management and stagecraft on various RADA courses including the first year introductory stagecraft teaching rotation
- this role requires a committed, self-motivated person who works well in a team and can lead diplomatically and confidently
- the candidate should have excellent scheduling, negotiation skills, both written and verbal
- together with RADA’s Head of Production, you will oversee the fit-ups , technical rehearsals and get-outs of RADA productions and events across the venues, ensuring the highest standards of professional behaviour and housekeeping
- the successful candidate will have wide technical theatre experience at repertory level and above with experience of small and mid-scale productions
- you will work alongside the Head of Production to ensure that all technical paperwork and equipment is in place and up-to-date, as well as ensuring the teaching practice remains up-to-date and in-line with industry and RADA’s expectations
