- full management of Production Purchasing function within the business, while constantly reviewing efficiencies
- continuously analyse supplier performance
- to conduct steel procurement activities
- to negotiate cost and lead time reductions with suppliers
- beaver Bridges Ltd is a leading UK bridge designer, manufacturer and installer working throughout the United Kingdom with the Head Office based in Shrewsbury on the Harlescott industrial estate, Shrewsbury, SY1 3TB
- maintain and develop relationships with existing and new suppliers
Requirements
- excellent organisation and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities at once
- experience of purchasing within the Structural Steel industry essential
- contacts within the Steel industry preferred
- good understanding of fabrication methods, specifications, and the ability to read, understand and measure drawings
- experience with raising purchase orders
- strong negotiation skills
- confident at dealing with payment terms and invoices
- be cost aware and conscious
