Responsibility
oversee and manage all aspects of the kitchen and food preparation
the opportunity to showcase culinary workshops will be an addition feature in the future as well
create and develop new menu items and recipes
ensure high-quality food presentation and taste
train and supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and assistants
this is an exciting opportunity for a motivated chef to run their own kitchen and create their own menus - incorporating fresh, local, seasonal and healthy dishes
monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
the kitchen is brand new and the successful candidate will have full scope to develop menus to suit the venue and it's clientele
Requirements
proven experience as a Chef or similar role in a cafe/restaurant setting
extensive knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
strong leadership and management skills
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
excellent personal presentation and customer service skills
ability to work in a fast-paced environment
creativity and innovation in menu planning - interest in healthy eating/living menus
attention to detail and ability to multitask
