- LIFE by Be Caring is looking to recruit experienced Support Workers to join our team in the Lobley Hill area of Gateshead
- weekend working on a rota basis
- the role is to support a young adult on a 2-to-1 basis, supporting the individual to improve life skills, maintaining his tenancy and accessing the local community
- as a Learning Disabilities Support Worker, you will be based in Lobley Hill , supporting a young adult who is 18yrs old to live a happy and fulfilled life
- full and Part Time
- we require Support Workers who have a real passion of delivering person centred support, a nurturing and kind individual who has the ability work effectively to help the individual to meet their full potential
- 1 x non-driver
Requirements
- be engaging, calm, and have a can-do attitude, learning and adapting with the individual you're supporting
- be a great communicator, listening to the individual to understand their wants, needs, dreams and ambitions
- have the individual's best interests in everything you do, protecting their dignity
- support the individual to become as independent as they can, making their own choices and decisions
