- A qualification in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration preferred
- certification or training in warehouse safety procedures or on the pathway for such qualifications
- experience in working with ERP/MRP systems to track inventory flows
- hands experience of dealing with an international/Asia/China supply chain
- experience of being in a relatively similar business model. Distribution/Wholesale/Industrial Commodities etc…
- experience in coaching and mentoring and commitment team development
Responsibility
- the achievement of committed service levels to the customer base
- ensuring all inbound and outbound “logistics” flows are set up to support the market proposition of the business
- set and maintain both team and individual performance objectives in the key areas of Warehouse productivity and service quality
- streamline any bottlenecks in daily warehouse operations
- ensure that all the relevant Health & Safety requirements are in place and subject to regular review
- manage the inbound and outbound transport requirements and the associated third- party providers
- ensure the transport costs are constantly reviewed so best possible value in being obtained
- reporting on all aspects of warehouse operations to the rest of the business
