personally, lead negotiations with existing and potential customers and through regular meetings, build relationships to maximise commercial opportunities with them
manage the end-to-end Sales process for clients from engagement to sale, to delivery
based between our Barrett Engineering Steel, Dudley and Willenhall sites, we currently have a key sales opportunity available for a driven, passionate Sales Manager to continue to build and develop an already strong portfolio of customers, building long term mutually beneficial relationships, whilst managing and motivating the team to achieve
ensuring that effective systems of control and information exist, routinely monitor sales performance against plan in order to maximise profit potential
be mobile in the field visiting customers face to face
Requirements
previous business development/ sales experience within a spot sales environment
A proven record of building up accounts and delivering results
builds strong relationships quickly, has a proactive attitude & approach
excellent man-management skills, used to managing and motivating a sales team
confident in achieving targets and KPI’s
can drive & has a full UK driving licence
ideally you will already have achieved success within the steel industry and are looking to build on this
