Responsibility

  • we are currently looking to recruit a Credit Controller on a six month fixed term contract
  • candidates should have good previous experience of working within a professional services firm with regular contact with business clients
  • you will have responsibility for effectively managing the sales ledger debtors in order to maintain the firm’s assets, maximise cash flow and minimise risks on all commercial transactions
  • taking responsibility for half the firm’s debtor portfolio the job holder will work on a daily and monthly basis against targets to reduce the overall outstanding debt and to maintain the general housekeeping of the sales ledger
  • as such regular contact with a variety of different clients to facilitate timely and effective revenue collection and resolve queries is a major part of this role
  • there will also be a requirement for proactive and regular contact with fee earners to inform them of client related risks and disputes and the production of routine and regular reports to monitor progress in order that problems are flagged and dealt with as a priority
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills are a pre-requisite and we would expect the job holder to have the ability to carefully and sensitively manage client relationships and adopt a style that is both commercially focussed and aimed at maintaining an effective and productive working relationship
