Responsibility

  • we are currently recruiting additional warehouse workers to join the team at our Darwen site
  • this position could be ideal for someone who's recently left education and is looking for their first job
  • the job role will mainly be labouring around the 3 warehouse sites unloading shipping containers, moving stock and loading vehicles but you will be asked to help picking stock out of the racking, stacking boxes onto pallets, assisting and preparing goods for dispatch
  • there will be other tasks that you may be asked to undertake such as cleaning, sweeping up, emptying bins and general house keeping
  • as the job requires a lot of manual handling we are looking for someone who is physically fit and not scared to do a full day of labouring
  • this is a full time long term position, 40 hours per week paid weekly and company pension scheme
  • the rate of pay is minimum wage per hour during the first 3 month probation period rising to per hour post probation plus enhanced rate for any overtime
