- over at 19CafeBar we are looking to add a Junior Sous Chef to the team
- assist the head chef in planning, preparing, and executing menu items to high-quality standards
- we are a day time venue only, so no late nights for the successful candidate
- oversee food preparation, ensuring proper portioning, and maintaining consistent presentation
- help with the development and implementation of new menu items, considering customer preferences and seasonal ingredients

Requirements
- proven experience as a line cook, commis chef, or in a similar role within a cafe or restaurant setting
- in-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards
- A strong passion for culinary arts and a creative approach to food presentation
- ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- excellent communication skills, allowing effective coordination with kitchen staff and other team members
- capacity to adapt to changing situations, prioritise tasks, and multitask effectively
- demonstrated leadership abilities and a positive attitude to inspire and motivate kitchen staff
- willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate cafe's operational needs
