- managerial Experience of the Private Day Nurseries Sector
- leadership qualification with proven experience
- experience of working independently and confidently
- ability to market and promote the setting
- comprehensive knowledge of operating systems that are required to provide reportable data, advice and guidance across the nursery setting
- experience of training and developing staff
- effective time management skills and excellent communication skills
- comprehensive knowledge of the work practices, processes and procedures relevant to the role specifically in relation to the childcare, the EYFS and legislative requirements
Responsibility
- model and promote positive behaviour strategies for children and their families
- lead on the organisation of the learning environment
- contribute to the development of the whole team and where necessary deliver training on new initiatives
- be involved in policy review and contribute to policy development
- ensure that parents receive an outstanding level of customer service and that their needs and requirements are understood to be vitally important
- liaise as appropriate with other professionals such as health visitors, social workers and other early year’s workers in the community
