Responsibility
- as an STGO Cat 3 Ballast Driver at Baldwins Support Services, your role is essential in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of heavy crane ballast to support our crane operations
- operating specialised vehicles and adhering to strict regulations, you will play a crucial part in delivering ballast materials to various project sites across the UK
- compliance: Ensure full compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, including STGO regulations, vehicle weight limits, and tachograph requirements
- documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logbooks, delivery notes, and any other required paperwork
- safe Transportation: Safely operate a Heavy Goods Vehicle with an STGO Cat 3 license to transport heavy crane ballast materials to designated locations
- communication: Maintain effective communication with logistics coordinators, project managers, and other team members to ensure smooth delivery operations
- load and Unload: Ensure proper loading and unloading of ballast onto the vehicle, ensuring secure fastening to prevent shifting during transportation
Requirements
- safety Awareness: Strong commitment to adhering to safety regulations and best practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others
- driving C+E: 2 years
- physical Fitness: Possess the physical fitness required to load and unload heavy ballast materials safely
- attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions accurately and complete documentation with attention to detail
- communication Skills: Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and site personnel
- time Management: Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries and meet project deadlines
- STGO Cat 3 License: Hold a valid and current Class 1 license to operate an HGV for transporting STGO Cat 3 abnormal loads
