Responsibility
- lead the coffee preparation process, ensuring that each beverage meets our high standards for taste, presentation, and consistency
- train and mentor other junior baristas, ensuring they understand proper techniques, equipment usage, and customer service practices
- maintain an organized and clean workspace, adhering to health and safety guidelines
- contribute to the creation of a welcoming and inviting atmosphere for customers, reflecting the essence of our culture
- provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. This is key for the success of our small shop that has a 90% repeat customer base
- manage inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies, working with the owner to place orders as needed to ensure a seamless workflow
Requirements
- proven experience as a barista in a speciality coffee shop
- A deep passion for coffee and an understanding of different coffee brewing methods
- outstanding customer service skills, with the ability to engage and connect with customers
- strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead and collaborate with fellow team members
- attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
- ability to multitask and handle busy periods with poise and efficiency
- willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
