Responsibility
admin. Assistant
maintenance of office records e.g. mailing lists and centre bookings
application of Office
collation and recording of basic statistics for budgetary reports
dealing with written and verbal enquiries from members of the public, instructors and users of the site
drafting of simple letters and memos
providing cover in the office in the absence of other staff
performing a variety of office duties including photocopying, filing, typing, taking telephone messages, mailings etc
Education
GCSE or equivalent
Requirements
experience of working in a busy office Application Form/Interview/Test environment
experience of Microsoft office Application Form/Interview/Test
willingness and ability to work Application Form/Interview occasional evenings and weekends to maintain service delivery
ability to read, draft and understand Application Form/Interview/Test simple letters, reports and other council documents
experience of handling phone calls Application Form/Interview/Test
this post is subject to an enhanced Satisfactory clearance at conditional offer stage
numeracy to a sufficient level to Application Form/Interview/Test perform basic calculations and prepare simple statistical analysis with a calculator if necessary
ability to handle cash, issue receipts Application Form/Interview/Test and to assist in the preparation of cash for banking
