Responsibility

  • develop and evolve our AWS cloud strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices
  • design and architect AWS solutions that are scalable, secure, and cost-effective
  • implement strategies for optimizing AWS costs while maintaining performance and reliability, such as implementing AWS Cost Explorer and Trusted Advisor recommendations
  • promote automation and DevOps practices to streamline cloud operations, improve agility, and reduce manual tasks
  • lead and manage the AWS CoE team, including architects, engineers, and administrators, to ensure efficient and effective cloud operations
  • collaborate with the security team to ensure that AWS environments meet all necessary security and compliance requirements
  • implement and maintain monitoring and performance optimization tools and processes to ensure AWS resources are performing efficiently
  • develop and maintain disaster recovery and high availability strategies for AWS applications

Requirements

  • proven experience in architecting, designing, and implementing AWS solutions
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar certification is preferred
  • strong knowledge of AWS services, in particular ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, Cloudfront, Kinesis, Networking
  • knowledge of Terraform, Terragrunt and Atlantis
  • excellent understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements
  • as this position has leadership potential, nice to have experience in leading and managing a team of cloud professionals
  • strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
