Responsibility
- ensure all waste collected matches paperwork and is suitable for transport
- ensure Legal documentation is completed with accuracy regarding the consignments of waste collections
- perform routine maintenance checks on collection vehicle to ensure it is in good working order
- assist in the listing, segregation, packaging and labelling of waste items
- ensuring collection documentation is completed accurately
- collection and loading of waste onto transport vehicle with the aid of material handling equipment where required making it safe and suitable for transportation, safely driving company vehicle to the hazardous waste transfer station for disposal and when on the premises make for safe and efficient off-loading
- maintain accurate records of collections and report any issues or incidents to manager
- adhere to health and safety policies and procedures ensuring all requirements met on clients sites and waste transfer stations while performing duties, including the use of personal protective equipment
Requirements
- experience in working with hazardous chemicals and or the waste industry
- full UK Driving License
- must be over age of 25 for insurance purposes
- comfortable with driving LWB van
- effective time management skills
- excellent customer service skills
