Responsibility
- ensure that care plans for new service users are completed within 48 hours of admission
- to assist the Service Users with their personal care needs and to help provide health supervision through direct nursing care when needed
- to be the named nurse for a specific number of Service Users. To take responsibility for those care plans by assessing, implementing and evaluating each service users medical, psychological and social needs on a regular basis or as needs change
- monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in residents' conditions
- to ensure that all Service Users are monitored throughout the night whilst preserving their privacy
- contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- ensure stock levels are adequate and discontinued drugs are returned to the pharmacy at the earliest possible opportunity
- protects residents and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations
