laboratory technician
Responsibility
- adhere to company SOPs, Health & Safety standards, and cleanliness protocols
- manage laboratory and office supplies and equipment, including ordering and stock management
- perform routine maintenance tasks on lab equipment and liaise with contractors
- support cleaning and maintenance of the laboratory, including laboratory waste streams
- support the Facilities Manager in emergency procedures, including out of hours` laboratory call outs
- assist with accident and incident response and facility inspections
- maintain accurate laboratory resource records
- handle hazardous materials safely and according to protocols
Requirements
- experience in laboratory operations or facilities management preferred
- strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and SOP adherence
- familiarity with supply ordering and inventory management
- ability to perform routine lab equipment maintenance
- understanding of Health and Safety regulations and waste management
