Working hours

Responsibility
- responsible for the day to day management of a team of multi-skilled maintenance personnel and contractors
- responsible for planned scheduling creation and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out
- manage the team on technical best practice and establish standard policies and procedures whilst also mentoring and leading the department
- ensuring technical competence in the team developing skills and knowledge of Engineers and Apprentices
- implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes
- drive a Health and Safety culture in the team
- perform preventative planned maintenance of mobile and static plant machinery, as well as reactive maintenance
- ensure compliance and controls are in place to operate within engineering budget
Requirements
- ideally experienced in working in a high-volume processing environment
- experienced in maintenance engineering of mobile and static plant in a processing environment
- HNC/HND Time served
- experience of managing a team of engineers
- experience working production plant control technology including PLC and inverter-controlled systems
- electrical control systems with the ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- multiskilled engineer
