Responsibility
- provide 24/7 technical support to our customer base, working from our UK Head office in Bedford
- travel to customers' sites to lead installation and upgrade projects and perform service and inspection work according to service schedules
- coordinate installation resources, effectively communicate with customers to address and resolve any issues, and ensure successful completion of installations and projects
- increase customer service activities and submit accurate and timely field service reports
- maintain and operate slitting and rewinding equipment, if applicable, ensuring efficient performance and minimizing downtime
- possess a strong background in electrical/electronic/automation engineering, with previous experience in maintenance
- utilize remote diagnostic and technical support solutions to provide effective customer support
- demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, working independently and proactively
Requirements
- proven experience in a field-based customer support role
- background in electrical/electronic/automation engineering, with expertise in slitting and rewinding equipment maintenance considered advantageous
- familiarity with remote diagnostic and technical support solutions in a customer support environment is desirable
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and take initiative
- proficiency in mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and troubleshooting PLC systems
- strong verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in other languages is a bonus
- demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships, effectively managing stakeholders and contributing to the service business
