- have a good understanding of parent assessments and the legal procedures of child protection or be willing to learn
- within the last 5 years, worked for at least 2 years in a position relevant to the care of children and families
- hold on appointment or complete within 2 years from the date of appointment Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or a qualification which Athena family services Limited considers to be equivalent to the Level 5 Diploma

Responsibility
- to maintain effective communication systems, including handovers, logbooks and staff meetings
- ensure that all Athena Family Services Limited requirements for data capture and the use of management information systems are met
- to contribute to ensure all matters of statutory compliance are implemented for the home and ensure that all statutory requirements are met
- support high quality observation reports and feed back to the social worker to feed into fair parenting assessments and reports when required to do so and attend court as part of this if/when the occasion requires
