Responsibility
- medication administration and management in-line with company policy
- enabling mobility, including manual handling transfers and exercising
- to encourage and motivate clients to maintain their independence and personal goals
- to contact key people including the care manager, doctor’s and other healthcare professionals where required
- to prepare and cook meals of the clients choice in their own home
- undertake domestic tasks including cleaning to maintain a high quality of living
- record and document all appropriate information in a timely manner
- personal care – i.e. washing, dressing, oral care, hair care, nail care, foot care, eye care. Toileting, assisting with continence management
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years proven personal or professional experience as a caregiver for an individual/s living with a physical disability
- proven personal or professional experience as a caregiver
- ability to engage service users of all ages and respond to client's needs in a positive manner
- ability to engage service users of all ages and respond to patient's needs in a positive manner
- good communication skills and ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- ability to plan ahead and meet deadlines
- strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude
- detail oriented with an excellent record of keeping detailed records and documentation on clients
