design engineer
Responsibility
- working with System Architecture team to generate a Micro Architecture Specification
- technical leadership, planning and review of the Digital Design team activities
- managing any 3rd party IP or service providers required for design completion
- generating an RTL code base that meets the specification
- running all tool flows required to confirm design is robust e.g. Lint, CDC, AFA etc
- identifying and Implementing improvements to existing design flows, tools and methodologies
- generating Block Level Testbenches to confirm compliance of new design to specification
- assisting with Chip Level Verification to check System compliance
Requirements
- A 4-year degree from an accredited university in a related field
- experience with high reliability systems
- familiar with the FPGA development flow
- coding RTL - Verilog and/or VHDL
- designing and developing complex digital designs for an ASIC design flow
- integrating large scale SoC designs
- experience working on large System on Chip designs at low geometry nodes
- experience with DSP or Wireless Communication standards
