development appraisals - drafting viability appraisals using your researched assumptions and interrogating results
report writing - drafting of reports with your own analysis and providing reasoned and sound conclusions
client meetings/presentation - attend client meetings/presentation with senior staff and assist in preparation for meetings / note taking
undertaking property market research – using a variety of data sources such as Land Registry, CoStar, EGi Property Link, commercial property research reports, telephone consultations with agents etc
professional development - keep APC diary up to date; establish areas of skills to develop; attend APC and networking events
planning research – accessing local authorities’ websites to a find planning history of sites and review relevant planning policies to our area of work. Reviewing and analysing draft policies to advise on development viability
data analysis – spreadsheet analysis of comparable market evidence for residential and commercial uses and land values; analysis of housing scheme mix of units and floor areas
communication as part of the client-professional team – writing internal and external emails and speaking with external clients, co-consultants and colleagues
Requirements
team player – with an interest in property and developing professional skills
A relevant degree/masters in Surveying and/or Planning & Development
an inquiring mindset for problem solving
excellent written and verbal communication skills
ambitious with a drive to deliver results and progress your career
ability to work well under pressure and have commitment to see projects through
the ability to analyse data and develop a rational conclusion based on analysis
