Requirements
- proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role within the automotive industry
- strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair electrical systems
- experience with heavy lifting is essential due to the nature of the work involved
- proficiency in using various hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is required
- proven experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar role is essential
- travel to customers sites, to carryout inspections, services and repairs, representing ASM , providing an exceptional, reliable and through service
- A valid forklift licence is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided
- strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret schematics effectively
Responsibility
- conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on HGVs to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- perform repairs and maintenance on various HGV components, including engines, brakes, and electrical systems
- assemble and fabricate parts as needed for repairs, ensuring precision and adherence to schematics
- operate forklifts for the movement of heavy equipment and materials within the workshop
- engage in heavy lifting as required during the repair process, ensuring safety protocols are followed
- provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance updates
- maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards
