Requirements
experience of working with the elderly is desirable but not essential
A passion for activities and crafts is essential
Responsibility
to plan, schedule implement and evaluate a programme of individual and/or group activities based on the service users needs
to encourage staff members, relatives and friends to participate in the homes activities
to organize meetings for the service users and their relatives to discuss activity ideas/requests and fundraising events
to check mini bus rota and organize day trips out
to participate in enhancing the intellectual, physical and social wellbeing of the service user and provide a happy and stimulating experience. To help residents to socialize within the care home
to take photos of activities and events for marketing materials
to plan ongoing weekly activity rotas in conjunction with the residents wishes and encourage service users to maintain pre-existing hobbies. At weekends or days off, activities will need to be organized and delegated to colleagues
write up event information for the monthly newsletter
