Responsibility

  • supporting with the movement of palletised stock around the warehouse, on and off racking and relocation to different areas of warehouse

Responsibility

  • cross check all reference numbers and booking in numbers, ensuring maximum accuracy
  • check and sign all relevant paperwork, ensuring a high level of accuracy
  • check the load to ensure what is being brought to site matches what is expected
  • check outbound trailers ensuring they have been loaded or unloaded according to the paperwork
  • ensure that all inbound and outbound loads are correctly strapped and secure

Requirements

  • previous experience in a fast-paced transport business advantageous

Responsibility

  • prepare Armstrong delivery drivers ‘run sheets’ informing them of their planned tasks for their next shift
  • communicate with Armstrong delivery drivers their expected daily duties as planned on arrival & in detail
  • ensure that all delivery drivers have the correct paperwork and all necessary booking information before the driver leaves site
  • the Operations deputy role is a critical administrative function within the front office. The post holder must assist the transport/warehouse managers to enable the transport/warehouse functions to operate correctly
  • generate warehouse picking documentation and labels. Assign to warehouse supervisor & report any issues to warehouse manager
  • liaise with the warehouse management team regarding the returning vehicle & freight and its re-loading requirements according to the transport plan
  • ensure that all drivers leave site in the correct vehicle & trailer and that they are road legal
  • assist the other transport team members as necessary to ensure any unforeseen workload is evenly distributed

Requirements

  • previous transport/warehouse experience would be an advantage
  • previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced transport / warehouse environment would be an advantage

Requirements
