Requirements

  • qualification in Diploma Level 5 in Residential Childcare, working towards this qualification or prepared to be enrolled on this course immediately
  • minimum 2 years experience in a similar environment - must include working with children
  • experience in a Management or Assistant Management role with proven ability to lead staff teams
  • comprehensive knowledge of Child Protection & Safeguarding
  • solid experience of the Ofsted process
  • resilient and motivated but with a calm, approachable manner, adaptable and non-judgemental
  • knowledge of legislative requirements and their impact
  • excellent communication skills, written and verbal along with strong organisational skills
