Responsibility
- A Synthesis Technician is an integral part of the oligonucleotide synthesis team
- the role is suited for people who are learning the relevant oligonucleotide synthesis processes and workflows
- perform aspects of oligonucleotide synthesis process, as outlined in SOP, relevant to the appropriate department
- they will learn these processes and be able to carry them out independently, following direction from more senior team members
- perform work according to appropriate Work Instruction
- they will also assist, where necessary, more senior team members in process improvement tasks
- carrying out work as instructed by senior team members
- maintaining reagents for oligonucleotide synthesis processes
Requirements
- A degree in synthetic organic chemistry
- excellent understanding of chemistry lab operations and equipment
- excellent understanding of Hazards associated within a busy chemistry laboratory
- excellent organisational and timekeeping skills
- excellent communication skills
- experience of operating LCMS instrumentation
- experience of working in an industrial laboratory
