Working hours

Responsibility

  • managing extra resource for larger projects, internal and external
  • produce / approve all relevant documentation such as Risk Assessment Method Statements, Technical Specifications, Work Instructions, Test documentation
  • will be required to successfully complete a DBS check, and security clearance for MOD sites
  • installing / monitoring software, diagnose faults
  • act as the central point contact to liaise with customers, sales, and projects team
  • comply with all health and safety, environmental, procedures, work instruction, and risk assessments across multiple customer sites
  • this position requires a combination of hands-on and utilizing other resource internal and external to manage the workload to achieve completion of projects, dealing with day-to-day small tasks, factory build/modify/test, large site installations, managing complex multi-site maintenance, technical customers service calls, dealing with suppliers and customers in a timely and professional manor
  • management of all service projects, coordinating and performing all site work, including Installation, commissioning, test, battery build, repair, service, maintenance, and operation of UPS systems

Requirements

  • qualification in electrical engineering, AC & DC Competence
  • ability to understand, diagnose and maintain software
  • willingness to travel, Driving license essential
  • excellent communicator at all levels to negotiate best outcomes internally and with customers
  • demonstrable ability to prioritise and differentiate projects tasks and sales support requests within a complex and conflicting environment
  • experience in a similar role in this or closely related industry
  • trained to support various OEM UPS such as Riello, Eaton, Socomec, BPC or similar, not essential but would be an advantage
  • must be proficient in MS office
