Requirements

  • competent CAD Technician with a HNC/HND Qualification and/or can demonstrate experience in a similar role will be considered
  • the ability to understand and interpret technical data, including reading design drawings
  • able to create drawings with constructability and spatial awareness in mind
  • ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • capability to handle multiple tasks with limited supervision, and to work independently as well as within a cohesive team
  • demonstrate effective organisation skills, and have a methodical approach to work
  • proficient in current engineering design and drafting software packages, such as AutoCAD Mechanical 2013 onwards and Inventor, and has a reasonable knowledge of work processes, fabrication and construction capabilities
  • autoCAD: 2 years

Responsibility

  • preparation of Bills of Materials and other tender/project specific documents
  • ensuring that in-house or third party prepared drawings are comprehensive and accurately represent engineering and design intent
  • delivering within defined programmes
  • liaising with the engineering team on technical matters
  • production of project specific/tender CAD based drawings/3D Models, including layouts, assembly and detailed fabrication and construction drawings in accordance with Customer’s requirements and Company Standards and Practices
