Responsibility
- supervise and lead a team of care staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest standards of care are met
- develop, implement, and review individualised care plans for residents, ensuring their needs and preferences are prioritised
- administer medication as required, ensuring compliance with health regulations and best practices
- conduct regular assessments of residents' health and wellbeing, adjusting care plans as necessary
- foster a positive environment that promotes dignity, respect, and independence for all residents
- liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care services
- maintain accurate records of resident care activities and ensure all documentation is up to date
- ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home setting
Requirements
- previous experience in a senior care setting
- proven experience in supervising staff within a care environment is highly desirable
- A background in nursing or relevant healthcare qualifications would be advantageous
- strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and regulatory requirements
- excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with an empathetic approach towards residents and their families
