- being a small company we work as a team with everyone able to do more than one job
- if you just want to operate the telehandler and do nothing else, then this role probably isn’t for you
- the job pays up to £20 per hour, depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant
- allon Homes is a small family run Company specialising in building new homes in and around the East Yorkshire villages. We are currently building in Beeford and looking to recruit a ground worker who can drive our telehandler
- you must have the relevant certificates which demonstrate your ability to operate this vital piece of equipment safely on a building site
- whilst main duties involve driving the telehandler you will also be expected to carry out daily/weekly general checks & maintenance, take in deliveries and carry out general labouring duties whenever requested
- whilst telehandler driving is essential it would be beneficial if you have experience of operating other pieces of equipment on site such as stihl saws, diggers, dumpers and rollers
- however, if you don’t have many of those other skills we will invest the time and money to help you acquire them
