Responsibility

  • advise on VOR Issues and help decide the roadworthiness of a vehicle
  • complete Necessary repairs to vehicles and trailers in good time
  • to complete services / Oil and Filter Changes
  • to complete both manual and electronic inspection sheets and job cards
  • to report Issues affecting Road Safety to the Transport Manager
  • to Keep an inventory of all tools and equipment
  • complete Periodic Maintenance on both Class 1 and class 2 vehicles and trailers to an agreed schedule / planner and to minimum DVSA standard or above, up to and including MOT Preparation and presentation
  • attend remote vehicle breakdowns

Requirements

  • A skilled Mechanic with experience fitting LGV
  • city & Guilds level 3 or NVQ 3 HGV Mechanics, or relevant industry experience
  • at least 3 years HGV Maintenance experience
  • knowledgeable in Health, Safety and quality standards
  • class 1 or 2 License advantage
  • knowledge of R2C workshop software an advantage
