Responsibility
- effectively plan and utilise drivers for deliveries throughout Scotland and England, optimising efficiency and ensuring timely completion of tasks
- plan the daily workload for a large fleet of vehicles, considering factors such as delivery schedules, vehicle availability, and driver availability
- handle customer queries and provide assistance via telephone and email, maintaining a high level of professionalism and ensuring customer satisfaction
- ensure compliance with driver's hours and working time directive regulations, as well as related legislation, to maintain legal and ethical standards
- plan collections and deliveries according to agreed movement schedules, ensuring accuracy and timely execution
- take responsibility for meeting all company health and safety standards, promoting a safe working environment for employees and contractors
Requirements
- A graduate's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is required
- proven organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- excellent communication skills to effectively handle customer queries and collaborate with internal teams
- strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to ensure efficient planning and execution of logistics operations
- familiarity with driver's hours and working time directive regulations is preferred
- proficiency in using computer software and systems for logistics planning and tracking
- must live within a commutable distance to our Manchester office
