Working hours

Responsibility

  • collaborate with project engineers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and design objectives
  • develop and maintain piping layout designs, isometrics, and detailed fabrication drawings using AutoCAD
  • ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations in all piping designs
  • conduct thorough reviews of piping designs to identify and resolve potential clashes, interferences, and constructability issues
  • participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise to address any design-related challenges
  • generate accurate bills of materials and assist with the procurement of required piping components
  • contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes, tools, and methodologies
  • collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including structural, mechanical, and electrical designers, to coordinate and integrate piping systems within larger engineering projects

Requirements

  • HNC in Mechanical Engineering
  • proven experience as a Piping Designer, preferably in an engineering consulting environment
  • expertise in using AutoCAD software for 2D and 3D piping design
  • autoCAD: 1 year
