design engineer
Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- you will work closely with customers, utility companies and other members of the team to deliver high-quality design solutions
- completing detailed gas, water and electric design submissions for domestic, commercial and industrial developments
- ensuring a cost-effective multi-utility solution is designed
- awareness of current standards and taking site specific requirements into consideration
- liaising with IDNOs, DNOs and GTs to obtain design approvals
- providing technical support to clients and other departments within the business
- as a multi utility design engineer, you will be responsible for designing gas, water and electric networks for new and existing developments, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- updating designs as schemes progress, from first design approval to completion
Requirements
- A suitable engineering qualification
- experience in designing LP and MP gas utility infrastructure including governors
- knowledge of GT/IGT network construction
- SNAP or Gasworks literacy
- experience in designing LV and HV electrical utility infrastructure including substations
- knowledge of DNO/IDNO network construction
- windebut literacy
- have a working knowledge of Water Regulations
