Responsibility

  • my client; a manufacturing company is seeking a Environmental Health & Safety Officer to join their team in Stourport-on-Severn
  • main Responsibilities
  • carry out Environmental Health and Safety audits and inspections in line with schedules
  • assist with quarterly fire evacuation tests and ensure all records are updated on the tracker
  • monitor and assist the First Aid team with the weekly first aid station inspections
  • attend and participate in Health and Safety meetings and daily production meetings as required
  • the successful Environmental Health & Safety Officer will be responsible for th day to day tasks relating to Environment Health & Safety will lead by example, be a role model and representative of employee Safety for the EHS department and provide help and advice with all Environmental Health and Safety matters
  • conduct Risk Assessment Reviews and create new Risk Assessments for all departments as required

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years exerience in Health and Safety in a manufacturing environment
  • IOSH Qualification required
  • nebosh General preferred, or working towards
  • highly organised with an eye for detail and a focus on task completion
  • strong work ethic and resilience
  • excellent communicator at all levels
  • understanding of manufacturing environments and processes
  • willingness to undertake further qualifications
