kitchen porter
Working hours
- full-time | Part-time
Responsibility
- takes full shift responsibility in the kitchen
- serving meals and washing of dishes in the kitchen
- ensures the cost-effective and efficient control of stock including placing orders for food products and the checking / reconciliation of deliveries. Ensures that wastage is minimal
Education
- numerate, literate and qualified to NVQ2 or equivalent
- organises and prioritises own workload within established procedures
- excellent communication and negotiation skills
- good organisation and time management
- some knowledge of specialised diets may be required
Requirements
- experience within the last 2 years in the UK
- experience within a professional kitchen environment
- good written and verbal communication skills, the post holder will be required to work with catering support staff
- be able to work as a team with other Support worker/ Healthcare assistants staff
- catering: 2 years
