Working hours
- part-time
Responsibility
- £22,050 per annum pro rata
- part Time - 28 hours per week
- develop excellent key working relationships with partners working across Colchester and NE Essex in bereavement
- to work within the bereavement service including the operational delivery of immediate support, group services and peer support service
- to build and develop relationships with external partners and agencies to raise awareness of the service and wider organisational activities
- to lead and deliver groups and events to enable peer support
- ensure the service is delivered as per established processes, identifying and implementing improvements where possible
- coordinate data capture across the service and associated teams to ensure data quality
Requirements
- you will be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of, and empathy with, the issues surrounding grief and bereavement
- ability to support others around issues of bereavement
- demonstrable organisational or project management skills - managing multiple tasks and prioritising according to key principles
- resilience to remain calm in challenging or distressing situations, including dealing with safeguarding
- ability to identify areas of improvement in the service and devise a strategy to implement ideas and ensure sustainable growth
- ability to set up, lead and deliver supportive groups
- able to use own initiative to work independently
- excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with good attention to detail including report writing and developing resources, for example, presentations
