Responsibility
- age UK Surrey is an independent local charity providing services across the county to help people over 50
- our aim is to provide services, support, and activities to enable people to be resilient throughout the changes and challenges of later life
- to plan, prepare and serve a varied café menu, including seasonal variations in agreement with the manager
- to be responsible for liaising with suppliers and placing food orders in a timely manner within the agreed budget
- to work collaboratively with the Café Co-ordinator and manager to proactively advertise and expand the Clockhouse Café
- to plan, prepare and serve a regular weekday lunchtime meal for guests to the 10-3 Club and to provide snacks and other ad hoc catering as agreed with the manager
- to supervise any kitchen staff and volunteers working in the kitchen and to ensure that they are doing defined tasks for which they have had the necessary training, e.g., in food handling
- to plan and prepare food for specific Clockhouse functions such as the annual Volunteers’ dinner, fairs and monthly roast and toast events
