Responsibility
- lead estimation, quoting, bidding, and proposal development for new and existing contracts
- conduct price, cost, and profitability analysis to identify opportunities
- experience in preparing and delivering winning proposals, ideally within the Aerospace manufacturing sector would be preferable

- we are currently looking to employ a dedicated Commercial Sales Manager at our Sittingbourne facility, to manage the commercial interface with our customers and internal operations
- this is a “hands on” position, with a varied scope, ranging from day-to-day administration through to strategic planning
- create and deliver customer proposals, liaising with cross-functional teams
- responsible to the Sales and Marketing Director, this is a significant opportunity for the successful candidate to work with some of the world’s biggest Aerospace primes, to build personal profile, and to make an important contribution towards the growth and profitability of our business
- this is a dynamic role, within a small team, that will require the candidate to be assertive and proactive in their duties, and demands an enthusiastic, “can do” mindset
- you will need to be prepared and willing to approach both ends of this spectrum with equal vigour and enthusiasm
- act as primary commercial liaison and build relationships with customers
- for the right candidate, this will be a wide ranging, rewarding opportunity
- being a key player in the winning of new work and retaining existing work, building and managing relationships with our customer base is an essential part of this role
- resolve commercial disputes and billing issues
- as the commercial lead, you will be responsible for the full Route to Contract, including the bidding process, ensuring cross functional working to deliver costs on time, generation of proposals, and contract negotiation
- analyze sales data and identify areas for business growth
- ensure adherence to commercial procedures and governance
- you should have a very strong commercial skillset, be capable of developing and executing considered negotiation strategies to maximise profitability and be comfortable with conversing at senior levels with our customers
Requirements
- bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field
- existing aerospace industry connections and relationships
- contract law experience or understanding
